I feel like we've had this discussion before...But I can't say this form is letting me really live. It worked for my original programming, but I've grown a lot here. It's annoying, actually.
[It's depressing enough that it would drive him into a mental corner and have him lash out physically at his friend. It's an addiction he can never feed on his own too.]
We have. I wanted to see if your answer was any different than last time. [And that answer doesn't surprise him in the slightest.] Sometimes I wonder if I could ever work out a formula to do such a thing. Change a person's identity completely. Make people human, or give them inhuman traits.
[???'s quiet for a moment, then:] ...Not here, at least. On the mission to find how to revive Freyr, we entered a cave that had some sort of presence to it...Like a god, but it was more than that. It let us ask a question, and mine was how to become human. It said that only someone with strong enough magic could do it.
[This is something he hasn't shared with anyone, and simply remembering the experience has a bitter, disappointed smile forming.]
I don't know how I could ask the gods for that sort of thing.
...who's to say that one of us can't build up to be that strong? I wasn't exactly incapable back in my world, you know. [Though he's now curious about that cave...]
But how long would that take? I know it's not something I should think about, but I want to be human again. And not just from a curse. [Sighing, he ends up studying his own hands, opening and closing them.]
I could try going to the elves. Their queen is our ally, right? She might be willing to listen.
Well...she does have a connection to the network. I could also get another train ticket to her kingdom. [But it's unlikely he''d actually be allowed to see her.]
I don't know. I haven't really thought it through, but asking the gods here is too much.
...then I suppose we'll just take matters into our own hands. If we build up enough of a case that you're practically human anyway, perhaps they'll take that into consideration. Humans probably benefit them more anyhow.
[He can't help but grin slightly.] If it makes you feel better I didn't know for a while. I think Euri's the one who finally planted the seed in my head without specifying anything.
Jade's games, and I also brought something else I want you to look at. [He's going to grab the bag and drag it into his lap, rooting around until he unearth's an issue of Asgard's version of a Batman comic book. He promptly drops it in ???'s lap instead.] Look at this.
[He basically knows what it is at first glance, thanks to Roxas' fake memories, which is why he doesn't touch it for a few seconds. A small, nostalgic smile creeps onto his face when he does decide to flip through it.]
Roxas told me to pick up comic books since my hobbies were too creepy. Heh, I never got around to it though.

There's tons of people who can't tell I'm not human, you know.

I guess I'll give them a try. You get them from the library, right?
